5 years ago I posted this private in conversation with HQ during the battle of Aachen in 1944 at the corner of Adalbertsteinweg junction Oranienstraße. This is the second frame of this same location.

Aachen – Düppelstraße

After some study I found out this photo was taken before the Gelbe Kaserne in Aachen. The Gelbe Kaserne is not there anymore but was located at the corner of the Düppelstraße / Elsasstraße. These german soldiers surrender at the Düppelstraße.
It would not surprise me if the trees still the same as in the old photo.
